Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic in-house design team, shaping the future of healthcare design?
We are seeking an Archivist/Architectural Designer for the department of Design+Construction (D+C), as part of the MSK Design team.
* Manage a comprehensive archive of current and historical documents [including as-built drawings, architectural/engineering plans, photographic images/videos, etc.] * Manage Architectural/Engineering drawings, and associated documents; while developing and maintaining CAD/BIM standards/guidelines * Provide architectural design support for project development, including * Plan preparation for presentations, RFP exhibits, standards/guidelines development, etc. * Independently manage and design development for specialty projects requiring architectural/design expertise and experience, from inception through completion * Facilitate weekly MSK design reviews, reviewing phase document sets and submittals for construction and renovation projects * Coordinate photo shoots for ongoing renovation and construction projects * Manage and distribute photographs for wide range of uses including media coverage, presentation, donor relations, etc. * Develop and assemble welcome guides to be used by staff for completed MSK projects * Develop project sketches/drawings
* Able to proficiently read and understand all types of A/E drawings, shop drawings, specifications, etc.; plus possess technical expertise in a variety of computer-based systems and software, including multimedia and content management programs * Able to convert manual documents into a digital format for small projects and file in a logical recognized standard filing system * Familiar with and understand the USGBC LEED rating system and certification processes * Knowledgeable about New York City Department of Buildings' and Board of Standards and Appeals' filing processes and requirements * Knowledgeable about FGI Guidelines * Highly organized and analytical, self-motivated; excellent in time management, attentive to detail; able to work well with others; willing to learn and be challenged; independent and quick in adapting to situations; a team player; forward-thinking.
* Bachelor's degree in Architecture/Engineering or related field * A minimum of 7-10 years of experience as a digital Archivist in cataloging architectural documents * Experience as an architectural designer independently managing projects or related field * Knowledge of New York City Department of Buildings' and Board of Standards and Appeals' filing processes and requirements * Knowledge as a CAD/BIM Designer in Architecture firm or related field * Hospital experience in facilities management, is preferred * Accreditation as a U.S. Green Building Council LEED Professional, is preferred * Proficiency in the following software: BIM, REVIT, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office 365 including: Projects and Access, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.), Smartsheet, Newforma, etc.
